Texas Tech vs. No. 9 Texas
About the series: Texas leads the all-time series by a huge margin, 95-33. The Red Raiders are just 2-8 in their last 10 meetings with the Longhorns, and UT has won each of the last six series between the clubs and is 7-1 in the last eight games played in Austin. Tech has not won a series against Texas since 2002 and hasn't won a series in Austin since 2001 ... The Red Raiders are one of just two teams in the Big 12 that are scheduled to play consecutive road series twice this season. Tech played at Baylor last week and plays Texas this week, and later must play at Missouri (April 24-26) and at Kansas State (May 8-10). Only Kansas State has a similar schedule ... The Red Raiders have committed three or more errors in a game eight times this season, and have had four games with four errors, including Wednesday's 10-4 loss to Texas State in which four miscues led to six unearned runs ... Senior first baseman Chris Richburg ranks in the top 10 in the Big 12 in home runs (8), walks (21), runs scored (27), RBIs (27), total bases (58), on-base percentage (.500) and slugging percentage (.674)
